No. miraDry fresh does not cause compensatory sweating. It selectively eliminates the sweat glands in the underarms and works differently from thoracic sympathectomy (ETS; surgery that interrupts the sympathetic nerves), which can cause compensatory sweating.

Most patients complete treatment with a single session. However, for those who wish to further reduce underarm sweat, a second session can be performed after a minimum of 6 months, depending on the amount of sweat and treatment goals. During a consultation, we can assess your current condition and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.

Yes, many active individuals undergo this treatment. That being said, it’s generally recommended to avoid strenuous exercise during the initial recovery period after the procedure. During the consultation, your consultant will provide specific aftercare instructions.
